About

A shared love of chamber music.

Corda Nova was founded by a group of friends and long-time string players who share a deep appreciation for the art of making music together.

Our performances are shaped by decades of collective experience in community orchestras, chamber groups, and countless musical collaborations. Each member brings their own story and sound — and together, we find joy in the moments where everything connects:
the music, the space, and the people listening.

Our philosophy

We believe that live music should feel alive — personal, unforced, and full of presence.

Whether we’re performing a Bach quartet or a Beatles arrangement, our goal is to create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and timeless. Every piece we play is chosen with care and shaped by the occasion, ensuring that the music always serves the moment.

Why “Corda Nova”?

Inspired by the musical world of strings and the Latin words corda (strings) and nova (new), Corda Nova represents the meeting of tradition and fresh perspective. It is a name rooted in the timeless beauty of chamber music, yet open to the unexpected melodies, modern arrangements, and unique moments that make every gathering special.
